Philips BrightView XCT SPECT/CT

Patients at the Cancer Center of Santa Barbara are fortunate to have access to the Philips BrightView XCT system, which is designed specifically to meet the latest requirements of nuclear medicine. A SPECT (single-photon emission computerized tomography) scan is a type of nuclear imaging test, which uses a radioactive substance and a specialized camera to create 3-D pictures.

The system combines SPECT with advanced flat-detector X-ray CT technology to offer low dose, high resolution CT images and improved imaging results. This advanced scan lets your doctor better analyze the function of internal organs and bones and more accurately track the progression and regression of cancer, allowing more targeted care.
